Mike Page is the artist behind the chainsaw. He first encountered chainsaw wood carving at a county fair in upstate New York in the summer of 2005. With a background in firewood sales, he was drawn to the art form. After watching other carvers create bears from logs, Mike thought he could do it too. He’s been carving full-time ever since.
After studying the anatomy of a bear, his skills improved, and he saw a dramatic change in his bear carvings. He continually strives to produce realistic and lifelike carvings. Mike specializes in carving bears and other animals native to the Adirondacks.
Linda is Mike’s wife and business partner. She handles everything except the actual carving. Her responsibilities include all of the finish work (including sanding and painting), the paperwork, and the computer updates.
The pictures on this site are products that were all carved by Mike. Our carvings can be found in homes in Carlisle, Albany, Lake George, and surrounding areas as well as businesses in Gloversville, Broadalbin and Cobleskill. We also ship carvings all over the United States.
